100 Restaurants Statewide to Offer Value-Priced Meals Feb. 20-March 20

Santa Fe, NM – After a successful 2010 debut in Santa Fe and Albuquerque, New Mexico Restaurant Week is back to celebrate its second birthday—with a delicious surprise in store for diners throughout the state.

The event has blossomed into four consecutive, Sunday-to Sunday celebrations, with more than 100 restaurants expected to offer value-priced dinners. Restaurant Week kicks off in Las Cruces (February 20th -27th) and continues in Taos (February 27th – March 6th), Santa Fe (March 6th-13th), and Albuquerque (March 13th-20th).

Participating restaurants in other New Mexico communities will be included in one of these regional Restaurant Weeks.

In addition to New Mexico’s iconic cuisine, diners will have the opportunity to experience a diverse world of flavors and restaurant styles, at prices to please every budget.

Three-course, prix-fixe dinners begin at just $25 for two for casual-dining restaurants, and $20, $30 or $40 per person at fine-dining restaurants. Beverages, tax & gratuity are not included, but many menus feature specially priced wine pairings.

As with last year, the fun starts before dinner, with a variety of daytime events, such as chef demonstrations, beverage tastings and more. Special rates also will be offered at several hotels throughout the state.

In conjunction with ski season, New Mexico Restaurant Week 2011 provides a compelling reason to plan an economical “eat-stay-ski” vacation in the Land of Enchantment.

“Last year, both local and out-of-town diners embraced the opportunity to sample new restaurants at an affordable price in Santa Fe and Albuquerque,” said Michele Ostrove, president of Wings Media Network, the Santa Fe-based PR firm that organizes the event.

“Hundreds of people went out several nights to take advantage of the great deals. In response to popular demand, we’ve expanded Restaurant Week to four eight-day events throughout New Mexico.”
